Our History
Glander International is a family-owned shipping company started in 1961 under the name of C.D. Mallory & Company. The roots of the Mallory family date back to the Revolutionary War, and a visit to the Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut shows the heritage of the family name in the shipping industry. Since its inception 50 years ago, Glander International has evolved from a tanker chartering, ship sales and bunkering company into a world-class bunker brokerage, fuel trading and #2 oil supply company.
Moving from New York to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida in 1991, Glander continues the tradition of working with vessel owners and charterers to help them procure bunkers in the most cost-effective manner possible. Over the past five decades Glander has established a reputation for integrity and responsiveness in a highly competitive marketplace. Servicing a wide variety of vessels including bulk carriers, container ships, tankers, cruise ships and tugs/barges, Glander maintains the same principles of customer service it was founded on. The company enjoys a close, active working relationship with both major and independent oil companies worldwide.
